Screen Capture Application

"Seamlessly add files to mySimTractor.com direct from SimTractor."

Posted by just_some_guy

I have developed a new tool for SimTractor, it is a screen capture application that takes a screen shot of SimTractor and uploads it to the mySimTractor.com galleries. You can start the application and take any number of shots at any time whilst playing, all you need to do is press - Shift + Enter, and your snap shot will be uploaded and added in 0.25 seconds. There is no need to leave the SimTractor window as it works in the background (defeating the tedious procedure of pressing Print Screen and manually uploading the picture). The application has 2 modes - "Auto Mode" and "Single Capture".

System Requirements -

Windows XP or Windows Vista
512 MB Diskspace
126MB RAM.

Download -

Prerequisite - The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, you may find that you already have this installed on your computer (Use Add/Remove programs to check) If you don't have this download it from - here - Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

4. Start up SimTractor and enter the minimized mode by click the shrink button in the top right corner of SimTractor.

5. The way the application works is as follows: it captures an image based on the location of the software's window. So you need to move the Capture window ontop of the SimTractor window, you can use the the Opacity Slider, to gain a better view by varying the opacity of the Application window, as demonstrated in the picture -

6. Click "Start Auto Mode" when you feel that you have correctly aligned the windows. The application window will now disappear allowing you to start playing SimTractor.

7. Whenever you want to take a picture press "Shift + Enter", the image will then be uploaded and added to mySimTractor.com. Repeat this process as many times as you want.

8. (optional) To bring the application window back up, press "Shift + Esc".

Single Shot Capture -

This allows you to take one picture at a time, Line up the windows and click "Capture Single Shot". One image will be taken and uploaded to the site.
